Horizon Europe Projects
As part of the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, the largest research and innovation funding initiative in Europe (€93.5 billion for 2021–2027), we collaborate on projects that deliver cutting-edge solutions in the solar industry.
Our projects contribute to tackling global challenges, advancing sustainable technologies, and strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.
TALOS
The TALOS project explores how advanced robotics can enhance the sustainability and performance of floating solar power plants. It also examines Agrivoltaics, combining solar energy with agricultural land use. Leveraging SolarCleano’s technological expertise, TALOS supports the EU’s renewable energy targets and sets new standards for solar maintenance worldwide.
Custom-made Innovations
G1
Introducing the SolarCleano G1, our most ambitious custom project to date, created specifically for Eiffage Énergies Systèmes. Designed to clean the 300 MW Cestas solar plant in southern France, the G1 tackles the challenge of wide 12-meter rows of solar panels mounted 2 meters high. Built to meet the exacting demands of this unique site, the 14-meter robot delivers unmatched robustness, stability, and efficiency on oversized infrastructures.
Collaborations
PLECO Project
PLECO stands for Photovoltaic Large-scale Extreme-environment Cleaning & maintenance Operations. In collaboration with the European Space Agency, SolarCleano aims to implement a SolarCleano B1A, our fully autonomous robotic system designed to clean and inspect solar panels in large-scale solar farms, particularly in remote and harsh environments.
The system leverages high-precision satellite navigation, satellite communications, AI-driven vision systems, and cloud-based data processing to enable reliable, autonomous operation and real-time monitoring.
